The question: What do hockey, the mullet haircut, and bleach-blond hair have to do with each other?
When the Fantastic Sams in Coon Rapids Riverdale was asked to provide free mullets to hockey players and fans, it was an easy answer from us – YES.
But why mullets? Well, it’s a tradition!
In the hockey world, players get a mullet or bleach their hair for state tournaments; it’s a fun and crazy way to stand out, look cool, and bond as a team. Most of all, it’s one step closer to being named part of the Minnesota All-Hockey Hair Team! Fantastic Sams was excited and ready to support this tradition with free mullets and clip-in extensions! Not only were fans cheering on the teams playing hockey, but they were also cheering on the kids getting cuts and extensions. It was a Mullet Party!
We’re all about teamwork here at Fantastic Sams – in fact, the Coon Rapids salon owners managed their salons side-by-side for 10 years until they purchased the location together and become co-owners! We couldn’t wait to not only do this for our community as a team but bring the community together as well.
